# Add a member

Register a person in your church directory.

## What it is

Add a person to your church directory with their personal details. This does **not** give them access to sign in (see [Members vs. access](/user-guide-english/miembros/miembros-vs-accesos.md)).

## Who can do it

**Pastor/a** and **Administrador/a**.

## Steps

### Go to Members

Open **Miembros** (Members) in the side menu.

### Open the form

Press **Añadir miembro** (Add member).

### Fill in the details

Enter the first name, last name, and remaining fields. The phone field uses a **country-code picker**.

### Save

Press **Crear** (Create). The member appears in the list.

## Common errors

* **A required field is missing** — check first name, last name, membership, gender, and marital status.
* **The person already exists** — they may be registered with the same email; search before creating again.
